The inaugural UWI London Benefit Dinner held last November at Lincoln’s Inn was an outstanding success. A very special heartfelt thanks to those who attended and contributed to the extraordinary cause for which it was held.
Our theme “Educate to Elevate” reflects our unwavering commitment to assist students as they struggle to realize their potential. In these uncertain times, one truth remains clear; education is essential. We are honoured to stand alongside those committed to preparing the next generation of leaders. Given the tremendous feedback received from guests, sponsors and honourees, we have taken the decision to host a similar event this year.
It is our distinct pleasure to announce that the 2nd Annual UWI London Benefit Dinner will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, at The Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, under the patronage of Baroness Floella Benjamin, OBE; Sir Lenny Henry, OBE and Professor Shirley Thompson, OBE. All proceeds from the event will be awarded in scholarships to post graduate students involved in research in Climate Change, and Environmental, Social and Governance programmes. The future of the Caribbean depends on those who are invested in progress in these areas and who recognise that sustainability is not just an aspiration but an imperative. The University is not just advocating change, we are living it.
As was done last year, we will celebrate the accomplishments of our distinguished honourees for their numerous and outstanding achievements. Please join us in this mission by contacting us at secretariat@uwilondon.com to be a sponsor or purchase tickets for the event. It would be The University’s distinct honour to celebrate the very best of the Caribbean in the beautiful City of London with you, while raising funds to mitigate one of the most significant existential threats to our beloved region and assisting students in dire financial need.
