The UWI London Benefit Dinner focuses its efforts on illuminating climate and social issues faced by the region and come together to raise awareness and funding that contributes to its future success.
Those attending as table-holders or sponsors are pledging their support for The University to continue to lead the way in climate research and development in the Caribbean regions.
Funds raised will go towards awarding two postgraduate scholarships to UWI students seeking to dedicate their theses in the areas of:
- Emerging biomedical or renewable energy or waste management technologies of relevance to the Caribbean
- Climate resilient infrastructure
- Food security and logistics for Small Island Developing Nation States
- Disaster risk mitigation, management and transference
- Climate reparations and corporate social responsibility
